Under 15 Girls - Trainers in the Making!
On Saturday, seven of our Under 15 girls volunteer at Altona AusKick. The girls got to work with the AusKick kids in small groups and help them work on their hand balling, kicking, tackling and marking!
The girls picked the right week to volunteer as the Western Bulldogs Roadshow were there. The children loved having a visit from Woofer their Mascot and enjoyed the give-aways.
Well done to Harriet Friend, Jade Desira, Deanna Rubino, Olivia Masters, Monique Barratt, Hayley Baber and Tegan Lawlor. Your attitude and enthusiasm was fantastic! Thanks for volunteering. The girls did a great job and the kids loved having them there!
Also a special thank you to Peter and team for allowing the girls to help out. It was a great experience and maybe the start of their coaching careers.

Shae-Lee Murphy - Kicking Goals!

In Shae-Lee's words...
"I have been selected in a squad of 30 female AFL players from around Australia to represent Aussie Sparks for the inaugural women’s Australian Rules Football tour heading to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and USAFL Nationals in San Diego led by AFL Level 3 High Performance Coach Nicole Graves, with AFLW mentor coaches Jacinda Barclay of Greater Western Sydney Football Club and Kara Donnellan of Fremantle Football Club.
This is a once in a life time opportunity to spend 2 weeks in America with some amazing people while gaining knowledge and experience in football, this will also give me more skills both as a player and a coach. Obviously this incredible opportunity comes at a cost and any donations big or small will help my journey and is much appreciated!
TOUR DATES: OCTOBER 11-26 2017.
Any other ideas for fundraising please let me know!☺️
I just want to reiterate how incredible this sport is and the opportunities and growth I get out of it is above what I could have ever expected."
